Make no apologies for not posting - post, or post not, that is the question.
Elaborating or wholesale copying some systems already offered up to the red-litten taroctony in the hidden grove of the occluded brotherhood of the goblin laws of gaming discord server, whose very mention is death and whose leader is rumored to be none other than the Imam Mahdi himself...
COMFORT INITIATIVE
Basically the idea is that based on the comfort you've been treated to recently you get a bonus to initiative.
For each of the following that are true, get +1 to initiative.
- This morning, you woke from a sleep of 8 hours or more, uninterrupted, and in a comfortable bed
- This morning, you had time and water to wash yourself, and soap besides
- This morning, you had a good, hot meal, not just gruel but real food
For each of the following that are true, get -1 to initiative.
- This morning, you woke from little or no sleep at all, whether due to choice or poor bedding
- The past few days, you've had no time or water to wash yourself, and your hygiene is poor
- This morning, you ate nothing, or at least nothing edible
For each of the following that are true, get +/-0 to initiative.
- This morning, you woke from an short, interrupted, or uncomfortable sleep of at least 5 hours
- This morning, you had no time to wash, but your hygiene hasn't yet had time to truly suffer
- This morning, you ate, but not much, or at least not of anything you'd call "good food"
XRS (XP REVENUE SERVICE)
When a session concludes, you receive a number of experience points relative to your gross income for that session. Income is divided into several different types which determine the ratio (in the form of income:xp) at which they are converted to xp (based on a gold or silver standard, depending on campaign).
A-type treasure is that obtained via Adventure, which is to say dungeoneering, larceny, and conquest. It grants xp at a 1:1 ratio.
B-type treasure is that obtained via Bribery, which is to say rewards, salaries, and assorted gifts from external parties. It grants xp at a 2:1 ratio.
C-type treasure is that obtained via Commerce, which is to say through rent, usury, return on investment, and other such tricknological arts. It grants xp at a 4:1 ratio.
D-type treasure is that obtained via Diablerie, which is to say all other methods, chief among them magic money-conjuration and intraparty redistribution. It grants no xp and makes Hashem angry.
Additionally, performing certain functions grants bonus xp, as a reward for good behavior.
If you, as a player, take mapping duties upon yourself during a session, at the conclusion of it you get bonus xp equal to 10% of your normal xp gain for the session.
If you, as a player, write up a session report between sessions, at the conclusion of the next session you get bonus xp equal to to 10% of your normal xp gain for the session.
If you, as a player, draw something from the campaign between sessions, at the conclusion of the next session you get bonus xp equal to 5% of your normal xp gain for the session.
However, only one player per session can benefit from this bonus xp. If multiple would qualify, the party must come to a consensus amongst themselves on who most deserves the award based on the competence with which the function was performed. If this breaks your friend group it wasn't meant to be anyways and also you're soy and reddit and such.
Ok I only actually have two ideas to post here, thought i had more.. uh... wwhatever
